Oriens Blocks is a single-player puzzle game. It plays entirely offline by default, has no account system, and asks for no personal information. This page explains exactly what data is handled and when.
Data we collect
We collect no personally identifiable information. There is no signup, no email, no name — not even an in-game username unless you choose to set one for tournaments.
Device identifier
The first time you open the app, Oriens Blocks generates a random anonymous device identifier (a UUID) and stores it locally. This identifier is only sent to our server when you opt in to tournaments, so the leaderboard can attribute scores back to your device. It is not linked to your Apple ID, IDFA, or any other personal identifier.
Tournaments and leaderboards
If you tap the trophy icon and join a tournament, your device identifier and the score you submit are sent to api.oriensblocks.app. You can also set an optional username — this is the only field shown to other players. No other data is transmitted. If you never open the tournaments screen, no data ever leaves your device.
Advertising
Free players see banner and interstitial ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect a limited set of device-level advertising signals (advertising identifier, coarse region, device type) to serve relevant ads. iOS will ask you to allow or deny App Tracking Transparency on first launch — denying it disables personalized ads but does not disable ads altogether. Premium subscribers see no ads and AdMob is not initialized for their session.
Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions (weekly, monthly, yearly) are processed by Google Play Billing and managed through RevenueCat, which receives the anonymized subscription receipt from Google to confirm your entitlement. No payment details ever pass through Oriens Blocks' own servers — there is no payment endpoint on our side.
Local storage
Game settings (sound, music, haptics), your best score, and your tournament opt-in state are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard NSUserDefaults / PlayerPrefs mechanism. Uninstalling the app removes them. Resetting your best score from inside the Settings panel removes it immediately.
Children's privacy
Oriens Blocks is rated 4+ but is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a minor's data has been processed in a way you'd like to discuss, contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the app and on this page. Your continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
